The Surrender Experiment
by Michael A. Singer
Description:
Michael A. Singer, author of The Untethered Soul, tells the extraordinary story of what happened when, after a deep spiritual awakening, he decided to let go of his personal preferences and simply let life call the shots.
My opinion:
The book was a suggestion from Klemen Selakovic from one of his podcasts and I must say I wasn't dissapointed
Author describes his life as a great experiment he started when he was a teen by letting go of his ego and preferences, entering a world of spirituality.
I am astonished at which words he picked to describe meditative state of mind. It just seemed like every word was perfect.
Book got kind off dull when he decided to talk about where experiment lead him later in life (CEO, success,..), hence the lower rating.
Favorite quote:
“My formula for success was very simple: Do whatever is put in front of you with all your heart and soul without regard for personal results. Do the work as though it were given to you by the universe itself—because it was.”
― Michael A. Singer
Key takeaways:
In order to truly let go, one must deal with his/her ego first
Universe has a plan for you, you just have to be willing to accept it and
Let go
